Working width

The working width is 8,60 metres.

The working width is 28' 2,58".

Extendable to 9.50 metres (31' 2") with simple extensions (one folding disc on each side).

980 or 983?

The chassis is exactly the same; the difference lies in whether or not it has central sun wheel. All chassis are equipped with anchors so that central sun wheels joints can be fitted if necessary. Those that only rake straw do not usually have central sun wheels, while those that make fodder and straw or only fodder usually have the joint, and the central sun wheels can be fitted and removed by simply removing a screw.

Independent swing arms

Each sun wheel has an arm that works independently of the others, allowing them to remain in contact with the ground at all times.

Model 980

For fodder

Connects three windrows from the conditioner up to 3,5 m long without tying them.
The three central sun wheels will help us move the central windrow to the left side.
For a straight cut, where there are no windrows, the rake will move the entire 8,6 metres it covers.

Model 983

For straw

Connects two harvester windrows up to 7 metres long.
In general, we will not need the central sun wheels. By loosening a single screw, we can remove the central sun wheels.
If necessary, we can also remove the last right sun wheel to give the rake greater output.

Frequent questions about 983 vs 993 models

983 advantatges

Price (Model 983 is less expensive).

When drying fodder with one less sun wheel on the left side, the discharge does not go exactly in the centre of the V but rather to one side, so the end of the windrow is drier.

993 advantatges

Greater working width.

More versatile, aimed at those who rake both straw and fodder, as with the standard model they would be able to rake behind harvesters with a 7.5-metre and 8-metre harvesters if simple extensions are fitted.

Are they easy to maintain?

Both models require the same basic regular maintenance for optimal performance.
